Newcastle International Airport Is Crowned UK's Best Airport.

Best UK Airport For The Fourth Year Running

NEWCASTLE International Airport has been crowned the best UK Airport for the fourth year running. The honour, in the under 6m passengers category, was handed over by the British Air Transport Association at the Airport Operators Association awards in London.

Simon Buck, chief executive of BATA, said: �Clearly Newcastle International Airport has a winning and successful formula, consistently delivering a high level of customer service to passengers and customers over many years.�

Dave Laws, chief executive of Newcastle Airport, was thrilled by the award. He said: �We aim to be the most welcoming airport in the UK.�

Councillor Iain Malcolm, leader of South Tyneside Council and lead of Newcastle Airport's Local Authority Shareholders, said: "Newcastle Airport has demonstrated its commitment to customer service over many years.�
