Travel Chaos as Snow Hits UK

Our stunning north east escorts are very pleased that the chaos that has been created to travel plans, with the constant deluge of snow that hit the UK today, has not reached the North of England.

While snow is expected over the next few days in the north east, it is not expected to be as bad as other parts of the UK. One of our Newcastle escorts said "It looks great on picture post cards, but getting to and from appointments with the roads covered in deep snow can be hazardous, to say the least. We don't like being late for appointments, but sometimes it's better to travel slower and get there safe, than not at all. Most of the agencies girls now have winter tyres fitted, but if it gets to bad then travelling can simply be a NO NO!!"

In Other Parts Of The UK

Flights at Heathrow, Bristol and Southampton airports have been affected and some coach firms have cancelled services. A gritting lorry got stuck at Warminster and an ambulance was trapped in snow at Lyneham in Wiltshire. Rail services have also been affected with some operators running altered timetables. No flights have been able to take off or land at Bristol Airport because of snow while Southampton Airport said its runway would be closed until at least 15:00 GMT. More than 70 flights were cancelled at London's Heathrow Airport. A spokesman said: "This is primarily because of problems at other airports. "Obviously the snow is affecting the whole country and it just means there's a knock-on effect here." Sport events have also been affected, with a number of horse racing meetings and football matches cancelled because of the weather - including Friday afternoon's racing on Wolverhampton's all-weather track.
